What better way to celebrate how much you love UTC than along with everyone else who loves UTC! Here are all the special events and activities planned for I Love UTC Week, April 1-7, 2024. So, whether you are a student, a faculty member, a staff member, an alum or you just love UTC, there’s something for everyone!

Rock Your Blue and Gold!
Show your Mocs Pride by wearing blue and gold as much as you can all week!
Check out the iconic downtown Chattanooga lights that will shine blue and gold to show I Love UTC Week spirit!
Library Activities
Time: All Week
Location: UTC Library
Visit the Library for:
o I Love UTC Week buttons available in the Library
o Scrappy Through the Ages display – history of UTC’s mascots
o Book display celebrating UTC
Employee Giving Campaign
Time: All Week
All UTC employees are invited to make a gift to UTC supporting their unit or cause of choice.
Employees will receive a door hanger in the mail with “I Love UTC because___ and I give to____,” and they are encouraged to fill in the blanks, hang it on their doors/cubicles, and share it on social media using #iloveutc.
o If you’ve already made a gift, thank you! Please share your reasons on the door hanger.
o If you’ve yet to make a gift, follow QR code or link to give.utc.edu/employee for ways to give and payroll deduction instructions

KICKoff I Love UTC Week – Kickball Game and Tabling
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Chamberlain Field
This kickoff event of I Love UTC Week will feature kickball games sponsored by Campus Rec, as well as a swag swap opportunity to get a UTC t-shirt. Other swag and refreshments will be available, and there will also be dry-erase boards to share why you love UTC and post a picture using #iloveutc.

Porky’s Golf Tournament

The 25th Porky’s Open Golf Tournament presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is set for April 2nd! Join us for a day of golf & fellowship, carrying on the legacy of Frank Kinser ‘63.

Any students, faculty, and staff are invited to test their general knowledge, as well as their expertise on UTC! All are welcome to come watch the fun. Teams or individuals must sign-up ahead of time. 3 separate games will be played, and refreshments will be available.

Annual Scholarship Luncheon
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

This event brings scholarship donors and student recipients together to honor the generosity of donors and celebrates students’ academic achievement as scholarship recipients. The event offers students an opportunity to say “thank you” and to discuss their academic and career aspirations with donors, university officials, and friends.
